Self-Evaluation of Learning Outcomes

Throughout this program, I had the opportunity to reflect on my growth as an educator and future school leader by completing a self-evaluation of all course learning outcomes. This process allowed me to look back at each course and identify what I have learned, how my thinking has evolved, and how these experiences have prepared me for leadership. Across all courses, I was able to meet the learning outcomes, which reflects my commitment to growth, consistency, and engagement in the program.

As a teacher, department chair and seventh grade teacher lead, I was able to apply what I learned in areas such as leadership, instruction, school law, and personnel management directly to my daily work. I also developed strong skills in communication, collaboration, and cultural awareness, especially when working with diverse students, families, and staff. At the same time, this self-evaluation helped me recognize areas for continued growth. I want to continue strengthening my confidence in decision-making, especially in complex situations, and continue developing my ability to use data more effectively to guide instructional and organizational decisions.

Connection to PSEL Standards

This section connects to all PSEL Standards because it reflects my overall development as a school leader throughout the program. The self-evaluation process required me to reflect on areas such as leadership vision, ethics, equity, instruction, school culture, staff support, family engagement, operations, and continuous improvement. These areas are all part of the PSEL standards, and this reflection shows how I am prepared to apply them in real school settings. It also demonstrates my commitment to ongoing growth, reflection, and leadership development.
